Does anyone have advice for this?

I’m in a friendship with someone irl (about a couple weeks of it), but I feel so uncomfortable on my part of the friendship? I don’t think “toxic” is the right word to describe it, but the things I get asked have, at many times, made me feel real crummy about myself as a person and my choices both in school and physically. I don’t want to get into it too much on a topic because it’s a l o t but:

Does anyone have advice on this?
I want to distance myself because I feel bad around them but I don’t want to be a big ol’ butt to them if I tell them that and hurt their feelings :/
