Key Points:
Focus on lines and shading that would showcase a three dimensional effect in your drawing.
▪︎ Lineart:
- The eyes tend to look smaller and closer to the proportions on a real face.
- The nostrils are drawn in the lineart.
- The lips are more detailed that shows its overall shape.
▪︎ Rendering:
- Utilize the highlights and shadows to showcase the multiple surface areas on the nose.
- Add highlights on the inner corners of the eyes and on the outer corners of the lips.
- The lips are fully colored (it is usually left unshaded in anime style.)

I had been asked about how I draw lips so this topic is a simple run down of how I usually do it.
(I will do my best to fulfill requests to the best of my abilities however, I would like to emphasize that I am not an expert. I am also still trying to learn and improve. > <)

Key points:
1. Lineart:
- Semi-realistic style of lips tend to take the shape of an "M" as opposed to more straighforward curve lines in anime style.
2. Rendering:
- Inner parts of the mouth as well as the corner tend to be more pigmented.
3. Color choices:
- Choose less saturated colors for a more masculine look and brighter/pigmented colors for more feminine look.

Today I learned that "rakugaki" means sketch or doodle.
The translation function here (and probably google translate as well) translates that word to "graffiti."
Graffiti is a form of vandalism where people write or draw on public walls without permission.
So I am always very confused when I see that word in topics and comments. It turns out people are just drawing idly on notebooks which makes more sense than committing crimes on walls. 😭
