Painting WIP + Mini process :)

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving!
Not quite done yet, of course, but just wanted to show you guys a little WIP :P
Basically, up to the point I am now, I usually
1. Sketch it out. It doesn't have to be perfect or anything, but I usually use a light gray and basically get down the idea. This is actually a pretty clean sketch tbh, they're mainly much messier and chaotic.
2. Start painting out the values. Set the sketch to multiply and add a layer underneath, it's just putting down the 'base' colors. I add shadows along with the base. Grayscale is much more easier than using color when painting.
3. Start painting. Merge both of the layers together and go. At this point where I'm at, it's basically just blending everything out and adding a nice gradient from where my light source is. The light source is coming from the top right, so everything towards the light is lighter, farther is darker, obviously. You can see it more so on the crown, that's the main thing I finished painting first (not completely though, there's still stuff needed on the crown.). When doing this the lines of the sketch usually become thin or aren't there, and that's alright. After I finish painting everything, I'm going to take a brighter pen and highlight areas that are upraised, and then adding more depth to things that are shadowed. However, at the point I am at, it's still really messy and will be fixed later on.
I don't add color until after I'm done with the painting, but I wanted to color the eyes just because of this >.> I love Ayato's eyes lol.

I hope everyone's ok

I've been noticing that more and more people are depressed, and that makes me feel so bad. I wish I could give all of you hugs and tell you that everything's gonna be all right. I know that being depressed is so emotionally shattering, it's excruciating to hear that you all are feeling this way. All I can say is that if you ever just need to vent, or talk about anything I'm here for y'all. I've had serious depression for three years, to the point where I barely feel any emotion at all. I know how difficult it is to go through these things alone. But you're not alone. You can make it through this. And if you are having terrible, terrible thoughts, please don't give in. It's not worth it. You are so worth so much more than you know. I too have those thoughts, along with actually harming myself enough to leave scars. It's so scary to know that you want to hurt yourself. And sometimes you just cave in. But please, you are all so strong. I'm gonna cry my god. To some this post may seem pointless, but I hope it helps someone at least. I love you guys.

i've been needing to finish up my drawings (all 10000 of them)
but i'm fucking lazy as hell
so of course i'm writing stories :')
and then i got bored with that and
the first pic happened
idfk what i'm doing anymore ;-;

i usually hate shitposting but that's what i'm doing rn im sorry
thanksgiving break just started for me so expect me to be randomly popping in here and doing.. whatever the fuck i do lmfao

ALSO on the last thing i posted, it got like the most comments i have ever got on a picture, goddamn, and it was just a weird sloppy picture of the ocean lmao
but thank you guys anyway, can't say how much it means to me <3
