I had to copy my favourite artists! I HATE fullbodies but this really made my confidence soar-

So...
That's wholesome-
But anyways, I learnt how to draw shoes and legs, which are the EXACT things I NEVER draw XD
Here's how I copied these drawings ALMOST exactly (look closely and almost nothing is exact).
Step 1, zoom out a HEAP, and sketch the overall figure, your goal is to make the silhouette, and then zoom in slightly to make the face (The sketch shouldn't look clean, AT ALL, thick brush and messy lines is perfect at this stage!)
Step 2, make a cleaner sketch, and ACTUALLY try and copy, you can zoom in, out, sideways, reverse flip turn it over slap ANYTHING, free-zoom. Just dont spend too long on ONE. SINGLE. DETAIL. If you are struggling to make, for example, the face look the same as your reference, just flick your eyes back and fourth, reference, drawing, reference, drawing. Do that for a few seconds and then magic will poof and you can see your mistakes!
Step 3, LINEARTTT~
Make some areas thicker and darker where there are shadows (inner thighs, neck, etc), do thinner lineart for INSIDE the silhouette, personally I forget to do that- And just dont get worried over small details, just make your drawing look similar and good!
These can take from an hour to 2 hours, so it's ALOT of copying.

I SURVIVED A PHONECALLLLLLLL-
I have like a MASSIVE, massive fear of being on a phonecall, I cry about it- I needed to cancel a shift and JEEZ I was overthinking, I TRIED to mentally prepare and think about what I was gonna say but I just kept procrastinating and eventually tears popped out my eyeballs and I was just like "I NEED TO BE NORMAL I NEED TO BE NORMAL- NO MUM YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IT-"
I felt like my heart was trying to come up through my throat-
I just laid down on the couch for 5 mins with mum saying "DO 2 LAPS, DO SOME PUSHUPS, GET THAT NERVOUS ENERGY OUT!"
Eventually I got up and did it, I DID IT.. I.. I DID IT-
MY FEAR IS BEING FACED!!
It was barely a 1 minute call and my voice feels tired, I'm coughing a lot, but I feel like laughing cuz like.. I DID IT, y'know?
I don't know if I ever shared anything like this before but-
Does anybody else have this fear? I feel like I'm the only one irl who's heart drops when a phone rings-

I really like how the eyes are glowing here! They're the focal point in this piece, and I really like how you emphasised them!
I love the blurred letters here! But I would move the one near her eye to a better spot, AWAY from her eye. It's a touch distracting there and it's sort of overlapping the letter behind it. Though it looks like there's enough letters here, so the one near her eye could just disappear-
I really like how you have spaced out the letters in the background though! They might be crowding up the background a bit, but ehhh I think you're safe there- It's spaced out enough so then it's not too distracting!
I really like the texture/pattern of hearts! I think this piece looks really nice with that texture.

I will be talking about Shapes, and also a tiny bit of Space too!
I like how the character's shape is sort of based on triangles, and maybe even stars! The shapes here look very sharp! Like the hair, tail, teeth, ect.
I know this is not an OC, and I dont know what this character looks like in the show- But I still wanna mention how bluecatanimation kept that sharpness and didn't shy away from it!
Now I wanna talk a tiny bit about Space. The thing I would fix in this drawing piece is the background. Texture is great and all! But the texture here makes it really hard to see this awesome drawing, and I think that if you added only a few glitter or splats or sparkle lights, whatever they're called, but coming UP from the bottom, I think you would be able to see the character much better!
You always want to have some space in your drawing, as it gives your eye a RESTING place, y'know? And also, space will emphasise the main subject of the drawing.
The main colour of the background could be changed to be less saturated too! Because it's almost matching the character's main colour. I really like the light and shadows in the background though!
But yeah, that's my lil observation- Thank you for sending this art! It's an awesome piece! >=3

Also making sure your colors are harmonious, which is a whole can of worms that IDEK how to explain. Again, I can't exactly explain color well, but I have a decent grasp. Ofc there's also the common advice of not using neons, but that's something you can get away with depending on your style--

For this drawing, I will be focusing on Points and Dots, the 1st element, and then Structures (Patterns & Textures), the 5th element. Because there's some things I wanna say regarding those elements!
A dot can be ANYTHING of ANY size of ANY shape. The most basic art element EVER.
So Ollie is a dot, Ollie no.2 is a dot, the text are... dots-
But the space BETWEEN the dots is REALLY important.
Now I like how small Ollie no.2 is and how Ollie no.2 isn't SUPER close to Ollie, and it also leads your eye from the BIG number 400, to Ollie, and down to Ollie no.2.
Good!
Now points.. A point is a dot of focused attention. A focal point! They make your eye look at them FIRST! Before anything else.
Now I dont know whether I wanna look at Ollie, or the big number 400..
They are both of similar size almost..
I think I looked at the 400 number first but I kinda switched back and forth between Ollie's head and the 400. Either make Ollie a tad smaller, OR you can make the 400 number POP! Other way round if you want Ollie's head to be the focal point.
Now patterns and textures! I REALLY like the background's pattern! I was about to say that it makes things look too BUSY, but I change my mind. It looks great! =D
I also love your shading style and the texture of it! I really like the lines in your shading, well done!

Ollie has a very good color scheme and it doesn’t hurt my eyes with bright colors and the sketch line is beautiful

Basically, Artschool is teaching me about the 8 Elements of Art, and I need to give ONE critique a DAY on "forums or social media" on illustrations, focusing ENTIRELY on the elements, NOT the art or artstyle.

This is a new OC btw! Yeeess she's based on Darktide XD- She's head-popping a sniper, because I bloody hate those things-
I am trying to make her look a bit OLDER than what I normally draw y'know? That's why she looks so confident in her head-popping abilities, because she's probably been doing it for 15 years-
I am SUPER proud of the face XD- It needs some rendering done, and proportion-fixing, but that'll come later- Oh, I also screenshotted the sniper IN THE GAME (In the Meat Grinder, where the enemies just.. just stand there-)

I am having so much fun getting ideas for my OWN DRAWING- AA-
I know that I havent ONLY been doing requests and stuff, but I always feel like I have to keep my personal art SIMPLE so then it gets DONE and over with, y'know? I had my personal time, time to draw more requests.
But now..
I can do whatever I WANTTT >=D
I can spend as much time as I want getting some inspo, references, ideas, and PLAY with the ideas! I can just.. DRAW NOW- I mean hey requests was pretty fun, I got to make up ideas for what "vibe" matches the character and stuff, BUT THIS? From Day 1 to Day 30!
Just finished the last pic! I am really happy with the improvement here! My drawings at the beginning were stiff and the proportions looked strange.. even though gesture drawing isnt about focusing on proportions-
Now my drawings flow much better! I understand more about how the shin curves, the fat on the thighs, even BUTTS- And I also understand more about arm and leg muscles! Abs I.. still need to learn ahem-
But yeah! I'm gonna be continuing my gesture practice, but the goal was to reach 30 days. So here it is!

But we can make others happier by having a more positive environment! One activity I've thought of is making surprise gifts. Because that is what we used to do back then! Yo no puedo mirar obras de arte todos los días, por eso intento hacerlo dos veces a la semana, intento dar apoyo a todos los que puedo, seguramente se me pasa mucha gente, porque mi internet hace que Art se me reinicie a cada rato jaja. También quería hacer que ArtStreet fuera un lugar más seguro y positivo, últimamente he notado que hay muchos usuarios groseros, que solo vienen a dejar comentarios insidiosos, es bastante triste, siento lastima por las personas que no tienen nada bueno que decir de los demás, imagino que deben tener mucha insatisfacción en sus vidas. Me gustaría que la gente pueda sonreír y pasarla bien, la vida es bastante difícil como para traer más oscuridad. Pero además de las actividades que ya hacemos, no he pensado en buenas ideas 🤔. Estaré meditando sobre esto ☺💖💕!
